Zucchini is a summer squash. The fruits are eaten before they’re ripe.
Round zucchini are picked at three or four inches in diameter, and taste the same as any other zucchinis. They’re prepared in all the same ways as other zucchini – grilled, steamed, boiled, fried, and baked.
Their round shape is perfect for stuffing with cheese, rice, meat or other fillings, and the size is great for small or single portions.
